Project CIRCE’s team members Emanuele E. Intagliata and Diana Dobreva will organise a conference session dedicated to Circular Economy at the next Annual Meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists (Rome, 28-31 August 2024) in collaboration with Simon Barker (Ghent University). The session, entitled ‘Understanding the broader picture: multi-site and longue durée approaches to the study of recycling, repair, and secondary use in antiquity’, aims to go beyond the traditional approaches to circular economies in antiquity by exploring studies from broader temporal and geographic contexts (see attachment). Both team members and Anna Riccato will present the first results of the project.
