Craig A. Harvey, Emanuele E. Intagliata, and Rubina Raja will organise a conference session at the XXVI LIMES Congress, taking place in Batumi, Georgia, from the 8th to the 14th of September 2024. The scope of this session, entitled ‘The military and long-distance trade along the eastern Roman frontier’, will be to explore the relationship between the military and long-distance trade in Roman borderlands (see description attached). The session will include a paper dedicated to the results of the 2023 survey project. More soon!
